I experimented with a few on that shot (umbrella vs. bare flash), but by the looks of the shadows this one was a bare flash from almost straight above.

Please continue! As a watcher of a couple dozen, one starts to particularly favor certain artists...
Your deviations are measured, balanced; certainly not thrown together. Aside from such 'fine art' qualities they also have an air of humor/irony. Rock on.

haha not mine, Balakov's! I have done some Lego shots as well, but just basic stuff in the backyard etc. not with the props, lighting, inspiration etc. that this guy uses!!
