Due to the astronomical heating costs of the first two Death Stars the third incarnation was scaled back somewhat. The newly built battle station has the ability to destroy a small shed.

Unfortunately they still placed a small thermal exhaust port right below the main port.

As fun geekery though, a Death Star 3 WAS canonically constructed. However, like the second, it was destroyed before it was ever finished.
